Area and facilities in Olancha RV Park and Motel
since there is not alot of places to stay 1/2 way between s. Tahoe and San diego, we decided to stay here at Olancha RV Park. They allow Pets to stay in TeePees or remodeled mobile homes or Rvs on site. You can also come with RV/camper or tent and stay. Beautifully and humbly decorated inside the 1 bdrm /kitchenette/FBath. This place is great! with restaurant beer/wine and homemade food at reasonable prices. breakfast lunch and dinner. The woman who runs it is phenomenal! I watched her get people in and cook dinner for 8 people all at once and serve it with a smile. The grounds are desert and mountain views, quiet and 395 was an amazingly smoothe and beautiful drive.

Charming old west feel to the welcoming cafe and guest check-in. Fantastic stone fireplace. We would have eaten there if we did not have plans in nearby Lone Pine with friends. Our clerk was friendly and super informative. Our queen guest room was comfortable, newly built or remodeled, very private and quiet. We never heard another soul. Big plus was the gorgeous view of the snow-capped Eastern Sierras right from our room. A winner.

Surroundings were beautiful! Truly! And staff were super friendly and nice. The heaters in the beds in the tipi worked great and we had a great nights sleep even if the tent was a bit cold when we arrived. The food in the cafe was great and restrooms and showers clean! A very nice place to stay on your way to see Alabama hills / mammoth / Death Valley.

Robin

Teepees were so cool! Great views all around. Pet friendly! We had cats, they did require a pet deposit. Heather at the front was amazingly accommodating, friendly, and helpful. When I called ahead to warn of a super late arrival she said no problem, we'll leave an info envelope or for you to grab.. Very cute. Tidy and pretty clean for a teepee

Burke

Family 10 home, which we received was new or renovated. It has salon with a fully equipped kitchen and two bad rooms, one of them we are not used. The location was perfect, between Fossil Dry falls and Mount Whitney. The pool with clean and cold water was perfect.
